Abingdon Boys School
This is probably old news to most people from said institution, but last night Binster and I discovered a Japanese band named after my old school:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abingdon_boys_school
Their website features them wearing what is clearly their idea of an English school uniform. Apparently, they got hold of the name when reading a Radiohead biography...their songs aren't that good unfortunately.
School could probably sue for the misuse of their logo!

Give me a "Reason 3.0" to Love You
That's what the Reason tutorial I'm writing with Binster tonight is going to be called.
That's a lie obviously.
For those of you chimps who don't know, I write CM's monthly Game Overture column now, which is about video game musics. If you make said music and you want to be in it, drop me a bell, give me a line or sling me a pidegon at my email address which you can decipher from the column on the right of this page.

Live 6 is a good little turbot
Have to say, I'm liking the new stuff in 6 a lot - the metering's awesome and makes it easier to do full mixes if, like me, you're foolish enough to try such things.
Must. Get. Good. Monitoring...

Record went really well - I'm happy with the end result, perhaps even more so than last time: K-Complex is certainly a genius, possibly a mad genius. Release will take about 4 or 5 months apparently, but we'll wait to see the outcome.
I'm currently working on a bunch of stuff for CM - a pads tutorial, an interview with Mr Mark Pember of Meat Katie fame, and a Reason tutorial with Binster next week.
I've just been handed a copy of Live 6 which I'm very much looking forward to installing and playing with. If anyone would like to hand me a copy of Logic and a Macbook Pro I would definitely not say no.
